FIRST DATA/WESTERN UNION SUED FOR
IMMIGRATION FORUM ASSAULT

*********VETERANS DAY 2005********** ILLEGAL ALIEN INVASION, PETITIONS, &"INTERNMENT CAMPS"

By Terry Graham

More than two months ago, I created a petition and spent free time gathering signatures from Colorado Citizens to ask Governor Bill Owens to address and act decisively on the illegal alien invasion facing our State. I was later joined in this effort by good Patriotic Citizens who supported its tenets, hand-delivering it to Gov. Owens' office at the Capital on October 6th (See News Release below). On October 13th, I followed instructions to request a meeting with the Governor via email. Haven't heard a thing from Busy Bill, who is reportedly spending Veterans Day in Argentina. But on Wednesday Nov. 9th, I heard that American Immigration Lawyers Association (aila.org) Director and spokeshole, the dubious Donna Lipinski, would hold a press conference in the People's House (State Capital) on November 10th to advocate for law-breaking border jumpers.

Lipinski, whose toney Evergreen (CO)-based Lipinski & Associates law firm aids and abets illegal aliens, was wailing about our Petition's third point, which asks Owens to "Issue an Emergency Executive Order designating sports arenas, former military bases, and other facilities as overflow holding areas for illegal aliens awaiting hearings and deportations (ending dangerous catch-and-release policies)". Lipinski, who said she was "horrified" by this proposal and who stands to lose big bucks if illegals here are DEPORTED, shrieked about such detention centers being "internment camps." Oh the horror of actually detaining illegal aliens. Lipinski apparently isn't bothered by the growing list of Colorado Citizens victimized and killed by her prospective clients.

Today is Veterans Day (I thank you all for your service). Yesterday was the anniversary of my mother's death. She lost her high school sweetheart as he trained to become an American pilot at the beginning of WWII. On this Veterans Day, I remember my late father, a WWII veteran who spent his 20's bombing Germany from his base in England. He once told me that when the Army Air Corps planes were approached by a German fighter pilot, an American plane and crew went down to their fiery deaths. After so much death, he chose to watch the Blitzkrieg bombing of London from a rooftop. Life meant little to American soldiers who had seen true horror and hundreds die.

In the 1980s, I was privileged to attend a commemorative ceremony on San Francisco's Angel Island, honoring survivors of WWII's March of Bataan who spoke of the real horror of watching their fellow soldiers beheaded for passing out after being marched by Japanese at the point of bayonets, no food, no water. Many Americans have fought and died for our nation's birth and survival. Unimaginable horror.

Lipinski's offensive comparison of holding areas for illegal aliens to WWII "internment camps" which moved German-, Italian-, and Japanese-Americans into our nation's interior to protect America from potential dual loyalties and compromise, fails to acknowledge a simple fact: WE WON THE WAR.

As the lying Lipinski -- whose ties to AILA were never reported on by Main Stream Manipulative Media (we hear she is drinking buddies with most reporters at a Denver saloon) held her shameless law practice marketing seminar at the State's Capital (at Citizen-taxpayer expense), we who had our names, phone numbers, and affiliations attached to the Petition received JUST ONE CALL -- and NOT ONE QUOTE -- to give our side of the story. Colorado Rep. Dave Schultheis sent his aide into the Open Borderites press conference to distribute his press releases in response to their charges about our Petition, which he did not sign. Schultheis, quoted throughout Colorado media today as somehow representing my fellow Petitioners at the anti-Petition press conference, follows Lipinski's lead and is widely quoted about the "internment camp" dark blot on our history.

And let me note here that B.O. says NO! That is, Colorado's RepubliCAN'T Gov. Bill Owens (photo), without bothering to respond directly to the Petitioners, has said he cannot, will not, declare a State of Emergency over the 400,000 or so illegal aliens in Colorado, nor will he designate any overflow holding areas for them as they await deportation as our petition requests. (We have only heard about B.O.'s No through the Mainstream Media, which I reiterate, failed to contact us for comments --except for an AP reporter who didn't include my quote in his story.)

So today, I speak as a daughter of two survivors of WWII when I say that those who laid down their lives for our country may have survived to have families and grow old if instead they had spent the war in Midwestern camps with swimming pools. (Don't talk to me about internee property seizures -- my Dad enlisted as a poor, fatherless depression-era soldier who didn't own a damn inch of this country.) Where America would be today had we lost WWII is another question entirely. One that apparently has not entered loopy Lipinski and cabal's failing frontal lobes.

Donna, as a free-thinking, free-speaking American, descended from the Founders and Sir John the Graham -- William Wallace's right hand man -- who died in battle prior to Braveheart's execution ("Freedom!"), I say to you:

KISS MY ALL AMERICAN ASS, DONNA LIPINSKI, and pass my invitation on to your supporters

God Bless America, and may We the People rid our nation of domestic enemies who would destroy our Republic.

CITIZENS ASK GOV. OWENS TO ACT ON ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION

A group of Citizens today delivered petitions* to Colorado Governor Bill Owens asking him to immediately declare a State of Emergency in Colorado "to halt the terrible social and economic impact of illegal immigration." (An email sent to Gov. Owens on 10-13-05 to ask for a meeting with him has received no response as of 11-10-05.)

The petition also asks Gov. Owens to issue an immediate executive order reversing all written and de facto sanctuary policies for illegal aliens throughout Colorado; to designate sports arenas, former military bases and other facilities as overflow holding areas for illegal aliens awaiting deportation -- ending current catch-and-release policies -- and to enforce the Official English clause of the Colorado Constitution.

Terry Graham, an immigration-moratorium advocate, devised the petition and gathered signatures over the past month.

Graham was joined at the State Capitol this morning by Colorado Minutemen co-founder Robert Copley, Jr; Fred Elbel, Director of the Colorado Alliance for Immigration Reform (CAIR); Charlie Vons, Co-Director of the Colorado 911 Visibility Project; and immigration-reform journalist and talkshow host Frosty Wooldridge.

"Colorado is being destroyed by illegal immigration," said Graham, a Republican from Boulder County. "Governor Owens has a sworn duty to uphold the law, and protect, defend and serve his constituents and employers -- the Citizens of Colorado."

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson and Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano have declared States of Emergency in response to problems associated with illegal immigration. ####

FIRST DATA/WESTERN UNION SUED FOR IMMIGRATION FORUM ASSAULT

DENVER: A woman assaulted by a Mexican national at a Denver pro-immigration forum sponsored by First Data/Western Union filed a civil lawsuit today in Denver District Court. The lawsuit includes claims for ethnic intimidation, civil conspiracy, assault and battery, robbery, personal injury, and property damage against Colorado-based First Data Corporation, its subsidiary Western Union, the First Data/Western Union Foundation, the attacker and her former employer, Hep C Connection.

The plaintiff, Terry Graham, was challenging the forum's panelists from the audience when she was attacked and brutally assaulted by Julissa Molina-Soto, 32, an immigrants' rights activist.

Graham's attorney said, “No person in the United States of America should fear violent retaliation for exercising her First Amendment rights to speak out and participate in an open community forum. The sponsors of this forum, First Data Corporation and Western Union, had a duty and obligation to provide adequate security at the event, a responsibility they utterly failed to satisfy.”

The forum was held on July 22 at Denver's North High School. The school was recently the focus of a national controversy for displaying the Mexican flag in its classrooms.

Denver police at the event arrested Molina-Soto and charged her with assault. She was released within minutes after the intervention of Mexican General Consul Juan Marcos Gutierrez and other Latino leaders, according to reports published in La Voz Nueva, a bilingual newspaper.

As paramedics attended to Graham following the assault, Polly Baca -- a Director of First Data/Western Union Foundation and head of Denver nonprofit LARASA (“The Race”) -- and ACLU lawyer Adrienne Benavidez assured the largely Latino audience from the podium that Molina-Soto would have legal representation.

Molina-Soto is scheduled to appear on October 26 in Denver County Court on the assault charges.

Jeff Joseph, head of the Colorado Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), is representing Molina-Soto in the criminal case.

Molina-Soto and her two children entered the U.S. nine years ago. A Mexican citizen, she reportedly has permanent resident alien status. She has held various jobs involving healthcare rights for legal and illegal Latino immigrants.

Baca's organization, LARASA, and Molina-Soto, who until recently was multicultural outreach coordinator for Denver's Hep C Connection, jointly ran a Latino outreach campaign on Hepatitis C in 2003. Benavidez, head of Denver's nonprofit Color of Justice, has long been a critic of the Denver Police Department's treatment of minorities. Benavidez headed Denver's Public Safety Review Commission, reviewing citizen complaints against police officers, for five years during which time the Police Protective Association accused her of bias. Former Police Chief Tom Sanchez protested the PSRC's “witch-hunt atmosphere” under her leadership. A vocal opponent of Denver's Columbus Day celebration, Benavidez also sits on the Board of Directors of Servicios de la Raza (“Services For The Race”).

According to the First Data/Western Union Foundation website (www.firstdatawesternunion.org) LARASA, Services de la Raza, and Hep C Connection have all received Foundation grants since 2001.

Molina-Soto's attorney, Jeff Joseph, debated Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo in February on the topic of immigration stating that "[The] enforcement policy of immigration is not in line with reality." Joseph also criticized President Bush's controversial immigrant amnesty proposal, saying it did not give incentives for illegal aliens to register and become legal US residents.

First Data Corporation has taken the lead in promoting massive immigration and immigrants' rights -- including illegal aliens -- since settling lawsuits charging that its subsidiary, Western Union, failed to disclose unreasonably high commissions it charged when wiring customers' money to Mexico.

In March, First Data/Western Union set up a $10 million “Empowerment Fund” to be used for Latino and pro-immigration causes. Raul Yzaguirre, president of the National Council of La Raza (“The Race”); Sal Gomez, Chairman the Denver Hispanic Chamber; and Robert de Posada, President of the Latino Coalition, were appointed by First Data to the Fund's Advisory Board. The Empowerment Fund is separate and in addition to charitable donations totaling about $5.5 million that First Data made as part of settlements of the class-action lawsuits.

Since March, First Data/Western Union has sponsored immigration panels across the nation. First Data ignored complaints made prior to the Denver forum that participants did not represent both sides of the issue. Panelists at the Denver forum included Thomas Saenz of the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF); Lisa Duran of Derechos Para Todos (“Rights For Everyone”); Juan Salgado, President of the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights; Robert de Posada of The Latino Coalition; Raul Hinosa, UCLA's North American Integration and Development Center; and Roberto Ramirez, Founder of the Jesus Guadalupe Foundation. Some individuals had complained to First Data prior to the Denver panel that it was skewed and did not represent both sides of the issue.

First Data CEO Charles Fote announced in April that $800,000 of the Empowerment Fund would be used to create a Denver pilot program to support and increase the number of Latino business owners.
